Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level III hospital in Carmel, IN, requiring BLS and NRP certifications with rotating weekends and holidays.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit at a Level III hospital in Carmel, IN
• Unit includes 8 L&D rooms, 3 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, and 4 antepartum (ATP) rooms
• Approximately 200 deliveries per month
• Day shift: 7:00am - 7:30pm
• 36 hours per week, full-time schedule
• Rotating holidays required
• Every third weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Indiana or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• NRP certification required (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
• ACLS certification preferred (AHA only)
• Fetal monitoring competency required; if not covered on competency exam, AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent program within the past 2 years is acceptable
• NRP Advanced certification preferred (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
• Minimum 1 year of L&D nursing experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient condition, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning
• Local candidates are accepted, but candidates living within the facility's radius may be eligible for a reduced rate only; the radius distance varies by state
• COVID vaccination is not required
