Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Mother/Baby unit in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring 2+ years of experience and active Oklahoma or Compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Mother/Baby unit in a hospital setting in Oklahoma City, OK
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 4x12-hour shifts per week — schedule is non-negotiable
  • Weekends required as needed by the facility
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating required as needed
  • EMR: Epic
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Oklahoma or a valid Compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS and NRP
  • Minimum 2 years of Mother/Baby or L&D nursing experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent specialty-specific experience required
  • Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for Mother/Baby patients
  • Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluates effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers
  • Upholds patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
  • Required scrub color: black
  • Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
  • Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
  • Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after completion, a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required before returning
  • All certifications must be active and not expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled
