Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (Antepartum) position in Rutherfordton, NC, requiring 3+ years of L&D experience with charge experience and multiple required certifications.

Details

• Women's Services unit at a 143-bed acute care facility, working in the Antepartum department
• Unit includes 3 LDR rooms, 4 Triage rooms, 2 Antepartum beds, and 10 Postpartum/Gyn/Peds beds
• Patient population includes maternal, newborn, adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• Patient ratios are based on acuity
• Specialty coverage includes Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Peds, and Gyn
• Phillips fetal monitors with OB Trave Vue are used on the unit
• EMR is Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Floating is required
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring — all must be in hand prior to start
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 3 years of L&D experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Peds, and Gyn required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate's permanent address must be 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• No scrub color preference; professional dress code per HR policy applies
• Orientation dates are available on a bi-monthly basis throughout the year
