American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of OB experience and night shift availability in a Washington State hospital setting.

Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn
-
Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
-
Procedures include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, OR circulation, adult IV starts, blood/blood product administration, and management of drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps
-
Medications include insulin and magnesium sulfate
-
Equipment and care areas include C/S circulation, high-risk antepartum, high-risk L&D, LDRP, low-risk antepartum/LD, OB-GYN, pre-op/post-op, and couplet care

EMR: Epic (required)

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30

Floating between all facilities within Washington State is required

Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in LDRP, L&D, postpartum, and newborn care

Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring, FHM, and NRP
-
ACLS preferred

Epic EMR experience required

Proficiency in OR circulation, fetal heart monitoring, and IV starts
-
At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Candidates who were previously permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the submitting facility to be eligible

All travelers are expected to float between facilities within Washington State; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront, as requests made after submission or offer may be denied
