Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of OB experience and night shift availability in a Washington State hospital setting.

Details

  • Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn
  • Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
  • Procedures include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, OR circulation, adult IV starts, blood/blood product administration, and management of drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps
  • Medications include insulin and magnesium sulfate
  • Equipment and care areas include C/S circulation, high-risk antepartum, high-risk L&D, LDRP, low-risk antepartum/LD, OB-GYN, pre-op/post-op, and couplet care
  • EMR: Epic (required)
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Floating between all facilities within Washington State is required

Requirements

  • Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in LDRP, L&D, postpartum, and newborn care
  • Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring, FHM, and NRP
  • ACLS preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in OR circulation, fetal heart monitoring, and IV starts
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidates who were previously permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the submitting facility to be eligible
  • All travelers are expected to float between facilities within Washington State; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
  • Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront, as requests made after submission or offer may be denied
