American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery (Birth Center) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience, including 1 year in an LDRP setting, with night shift availability.

Work in a Birth Center unit within a hospital setting
-
20-bed unit including 12 L&D beds, 8 postpartum/antepartum beds (with 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 OR rooms), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
-
Patient population includes laboring patients, antepartum patients, postpartum mothers and newborns, and C-section patients
-
EMR: Epic experience required
-
12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
-
Every other weekend rotation required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Active WA state or compact RN license required
-
Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
-
Minimum 2 years of total L&D experience, with at least 1 year in an LDRP setting

Proficiency in cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnioinfusions, epidural management, fetal monitoring, IV placement, and Pitocin administration

Comfortable with all aspects of postpartum care from transition through discharge for both mother and baby

Experience circulating C-sections required

Baby catching/receiving experience required

Knowledge of APGAR scoring and breastfeeding

Scrub experience preferred
-
At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, or Director) required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start

Teal scrubs are provided by the facility
-
NP is available on call for support
-
Multilingual skills in Russian or Spanish are preferred given the patient population
