Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a large hospital, requiring at least 2 years of travel experience with high-risk pregnancies and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in a large hospital setting
• High-risk pregnancy patient population
• Night shift schedule: 7p – 7a
• 36 hours per week across 3 x 12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience in a large hospital L&D setting required
• Experience with high-risk pregnancies required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• Responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient assessments, delivering individualized nursing care, and maintaining thorough documentation throughout the continuum of care
• Expected to uphold patient safety standards including National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol
• Patient and family education is a key component of this role
• Epic charting experience is expected given facility EMR use
• Travelers may be assigned to float to a nearby sister hospital facility
