Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) position requiring at least 2 years of recent experience in each area and night shift availability.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Maternity Care Center
• LDRP unit covering Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week across 3 x 12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract
• Fetal monitoring experience required in this role
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• Must be able to triage for OB

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NRP
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in each LDRP area (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum)
• Minimum of 1 year of overall nursing experience required
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and triage OB patients

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process across complex LDRP cases
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and update individualized patient care plans
• Assesses and addresses discharge planning needs for patients and families
• Participates in unit-level performance improvement activities and professional development
• Drug screening must be completed within 24 hours of accepting the offer; results are required by a firm due date and delays may impact the start date
