American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) position in Colorado, requiring at least 1 year of LDRP experience and night shift availability with weekend commitments.

12-bed LDRP unit with 1 C-section room in an acute care hospital (Trauma Level III)
-
Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care
-
Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 for laboring patients, 1:2-3 for couplets

Approximately 300 births per year
-
RNs are required to titrate Pitocin and Magnesium drips
-
Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
-
12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
-
6–9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
-
Schedule is set by unit leadership for 6-week blocks; travelers are expected to remain flexible to fill scheduling gaps
-
All time-off requests must be submitted before the assignment begins

May occasionally be asked to participate in the holiday rotation
-
Low-census call is rarely required
-
Floating is uncommon, but in extreme circumstances travelers may float within Zone 3 facilities
-
The unit occasionally takes overflow mastectomy patients; orientation to these patients is provided
-
Active CO RN license or Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
-
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (or C-EFM), and NRP
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience within the last 3 years required
-
Must be comfortable with antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care

Triage experience required

Must be comfortable circulating and recovering C-sections
-
Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (driver's license used to verify permanent address)

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Driver's license required for consideration

Prior travel nursing experience preferred

BSN not required

Unit orientation consists of 1–3 preceptored shifts

Clinicians must be physically present in state during the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely

Blue hospital scrubs are provided

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered

Travelers are expected to secure housing that supports floating within their assigned zone if needed
-
First-time travelers are not explicitly preferred — prior travel experience is preferred by the facility
