  • Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care

  • Charting is done in Epic (experience required)

  • All time-off requests must be submitted before the assignment begins
  • May occasionally be asked to participate in the holiday rotation
  • Low-census call is rarely required
  • Floating is uncommon, but in extreme circumstances travelers may float within Zone 3 facilities
  • The unit occasionally takes overflow mastectomy patients; orientation to these patients is provided

Requirements

  • Active CO RN license or Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (or C-EFM), and NRP
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

  • Must be comfortable with antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care
  • Triage experience required
  • Must be comfortable circulating and recovering C-sections
  • Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (driver's license used to verify permanent address)
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • BSN not required

Additional Information

  • Unit orientation consists of 1–3 preceptored shifts
  • Clinicians must be physically present in state during the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
  • Blue hospital scrubs are provided
  • Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
  • Travelers are expected to secure housing that supports floating within their assigned zone if needed
  • First-time travelers are not explicitly preferred — prior travel experience is preferred by the facility
