Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Nurse Manager/Nursing Supervisor position requiring an active NJ or Compact RN license and prior nursing leadership experience.

Details

• Hospital setting with oversight responsibilities across all units
• Nursing Supervisor role managing hospital-wide operations during off-hours
• Responsibilities span all units and departments throughout the facility
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required — the nursing supervisor oversees all units across the hospital
• Charting via Epic (experience preferred)
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required; leadership experience highly preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certifications preferred
• Understanding of bed management principles and patient throughput
• Familiarity with patient care quality indicators and measures
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Oversee hospital operations during off-hours, driving patient throughput and maintaining care flow, particularly in the ED
• Maintain communication and collaboration with the Administrator on Call (AOC) for hospital events
• Monitor and support patient care quality indicators and improvement measures
• Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• All requested time off must be approved prior to offer
• Local candidates are accepted
• First-time travelers are accepted, though experience is highly preferred
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs or business casual attire
