American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a House Supervisor role focused on risk management and patient safety, requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of inpatient acute care experience.

House Supervisor role within an inpatient acute care hospital setting

Primary focus on risk management, patient safety, and regulatory compliance functions
-
Handles patient grievances, event reporting, and mortality chart reviews
-
Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
-
Weekends are not typically required unless an on-site regulatory survey is in progress
-
Floating between all facilities within California is expected
-
Active CA RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care experience required (hard stop)

Epic EMR experience required
-
Experience in Critical Care or ED is a plus
-
At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of total employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities include timely intake, investigation, documentation, and response to CMS-defined grievances
-
Provides clinical oversight of event reporting, triage, and escalation
-
Facilitates and monitors Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), including corrective action plans
-
Supports regulatory inquiries, complaint investigations, and survey readiness
-
Conducts mortality chart reviews as part of medical records review responsibilities

First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the 2-year experience requirement

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Minimal RTO is expected for this position; requests should be disclosed prior to submission

Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
