Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Ortho) night shift position at an acute care hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN, requiring 3+ years of experience and an active TN or Compact RN license.

Details

• 18-bed Medical Surgical unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Orthopedic/Med-Surg specialty serving patients of all ages
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, with additional weekend hours as needed
• On-call requirements as needed
• Floating required to Rehab and ICU units
• EMR: Medhost Clinician Experience
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact RN license) required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be obtained prior to start date (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Orthopedic patient care experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates and placement

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and orthopedic nursing care to a diverse patient population of all ages
• The facility is an accredited chest pain center
• Orientation is held biweekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must be cleared against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
