American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a short-term acute care hospital, specializing in orthopedic, urology, and plastics surgery patients on a night shift schedule.

Short-term acute care hospital setting with 68 total staffed beds
-
Medical Surgical unit with a focus on short-stay orthopedic (primarily joint replacement), urology, and plastics surgery patients
-
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
On-call is required for this position

Floating within the Med/Surg unit required to meet facility needs

Charting via Epic (experience required)

Free parking available in unrestricted employee spaces on-site

Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Experience with Epic EMR required

Orthopedic or plastics post-surgical nursing experience required (one or the other; both not necessary)

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Navy scrubs required (top, jacket, and bottom)

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation

Travelers may remain at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required

Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
