American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Primary Care position in Juneau, AK, requiring an active Alaska RN license and a minimum of 2 years of primary care experience.

Ambulatory care clinic setting serving a Healthcare for the Homeless Primary Care Program

Responsibilities span primary care, urgent care, and general ambulatory care services
-
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule

Clinic is closed on holidays

13-week contract

Active, full, and unrestricted Alaska RN license required at time of consideration

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of primary care nursing experience required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Proof of flu vaccine required

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Fingerprint cards must be submitted to the facility for processing prior to starting — allow at least 5 weeks from receipt of fingerprints for the start date

Upon acceptance, candidates should schedule a fingerprint appointment promptly and mail cards within 2–3 days to avoid delays

Responsibilities include providing clinical services in coordination with providers and clinic staff to ensure quality care, efficient resource utilization, and compliance with facility standards

Duties include medication and supply inventory management, point-of-care quality control checks, and thorough clinical documentation

Strong communication with other departments is expected to support patients, providers, and clinic staff

Must maintain annual competencies, complete mandatory training, and participate in staff meetings and in-services

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-supplied work environment and reporting any safety hazards or equipment issues
