American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and prior travel assignment history.

Short-term acute care hospital setting at a large Level I Trauma Center
-
Medical Surgical unit with a team nursing model; patient ratios are approximately 1:7 with support from PCCs and other RNs

Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

On-call required as needed

Weekend work required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare

13-week contract

Active RN license in Tennessee (TN) or a Compact (NLC) state — no pending licensure accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred

Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience

Level I Trauma experience required

Large hospital experience required

ADN or higher education level accepted for this position

Driver's License required for consideration

Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO cannot be added after an offer has been made

If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered

Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
