Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Infusion position requiring MA licensure, Epic proficiency, and specialized skills in chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration and venous access management.

Details

  • Infusion unit position within a hospital-based outpatient infusion setting
  • Patient population includes those receiving biologics, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and therapeutic phlebotomies
  • Scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour day shifts)
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Procedures include IV placement (PIVs, ultrasound-guided PIVs), port access, central line access and management, chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, hypersensitivity reaction management, and therapeutic phlebotomy

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Demonstrated competency with venous access including ports, PIVs, and ultrasound-guided PIVs
  • Experience with infusion therapies including biologics, chemotherapy, blood products, and therapeutic phlebotomy required

Additional Information

  • Administer a variety of infusion therapies and manage venous access for a diverse patient population
  • Recognize and manage hypersensitivity reactions during infusion therapy
  • Biweekly orientation schedule
  • Any color scrubs are acceptable
  • COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine are required (medical exemptions permitted)
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
  • Previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) facility — whether travel, permanent, or per diem — must have a minimum 6-month break before returning
