Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care (LTC) position at a hospital-based facility in Hilo, Hawaii, requiring flexibility with varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

• Long Term Care (LTC) facility located on the grounds of a hospital
• 8-hour varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Shift preference and schedule flexibility is required

Requirements

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment — candidates without one must apply upon offer acceptance
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, treatments, medication administration, admissions and discharges, ADL assistance, and provider notifications
• Clinical skills required include Gastrostomy Tube care, Urinary Catheter care, Nebulized Treatments, Wound Vac care, CPAP care, and Tracheostomy care
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment — this appointment is conducted at the facility's Employee Health department and attendance is mandatory
• Travelers are strongly encouraged to arrive in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start date to allow for a Friday Employee Health appointment
