American Traveler is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Long Term Care position in a remote Alaska facility, requiring an active Alaska CNA license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Current CPR and First Aid certification required

Proficiency with standard medical equipment including BP cuff, stethoscope, and thermometer

Date of birth (DOB) and Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration

Provides direct personal care services to clients based on individualized Plans of Care developed by an RN Case Manager

Competency documentation must be provided upon arrival, including: IV/Central Line Site Care, Fall Precautions, Age-Specific Competencies, Abuse/Neglect, Pain Management, Restraints and Seclusion, End of Life Care, and Blood Transfusions

A medication calculation math test (adults and pediatrics) will be administered upon arrival before beginning floor work

Orientation is held on Tuesday and Wednesday

Hospital housing is available and strongly recommended given the remote location — shared units with private bedrooms in gender-specific (male or female) buildings; no dogs allowed; travelers coordinate housing directly with the facility

Flight reimbursement is available for travel to and from assignment; economy fare only, and detailed flight and luggage receipts must be submitted to American Traveler for reimbursement

Flight itinerary must be provided at least one week prior to start date; the facility will assist with airport pickup at the start of the assignment only

Return transportation is provided by the facility at the end of the assignment, except in cases of termination due to policy violations, falsification of application, or voluntary departure
