American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Oncology Clinic / Radiation Therapy position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Radiation Therapy / Oncology Clinic setting within a hospital environment

Day shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

13-week contract

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; oncology experience preferred
-
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
-
Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
-
Basic computer skills required

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors

Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Documents patient responses to nursing interventions, medical treatments, and physician order changes

Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed

Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

After a total of 26 weeks at this facility (including any extension), candidates must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for another contract at this facility

This facility has strict compliance deadlines and candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
