American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Oncology position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring at least 2 years of experience with 1 year of recent oncology or specialty experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

16-bed inpatient Oncology Unit in a hospital setting, dedicated to patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5

Specializes in the administration of chemotherapy to oncology patients

Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
36 or 48 hours per week available
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage required as assigned

Floating to other units and hospitals required

EMR: Meditech (experience not required)
-
Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted

No prior license hits (past or current) permitted
-
Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted)

Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in the applicable specialty

NURSYS license verification required for consideration

Current driver's license required for consideration

Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration

Works as part of a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff

Newly reopened unit focused on providing specialized, compassionate oncology nursing care

Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules — no pre-start HealthStream modules required

Timekeeping system: Centricity

Solid navy scrubs required
