American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at an oncology-focused hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Mixed acuity unit serving both PCU and Med/Surg patients

Oncology patient population

Patient ratio of 1:5

Shift schedule is nights (3x12, 19:00–07:30), though rotating day/night scheduling is possible based on departmental needs and is reviewed every 4-week scheduling period

Required skills include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy management

Epic EMR experience required

Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Active OH or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Current BLS certification required

Epic EMR experience required

Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management required

Oncology experience preferred but not required

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Orientation consists of one week of Mon–Fri day shift training followed by a second week of 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor

Travelers are able to submit self-schedule requests prior to the final schedule being posted

No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation (except for Sterile Processing Techs)

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
