Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at an oncology-focused hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Mixed acuity unit serving both PCU and Med/Surg patients
• Oncology patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Shift schedule is nights (3x12, 19:00–07:30), though rotating day/night scheduling is possible based on departmental needs and is reviewed every 4-week scheduling period
• Required skills include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy management
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of one week of Mon–Fri day shift training followed by a second week of 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
• Travelers are able to submit self-schedule requests prior to the final schedule being posted
• No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of consideration
