American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital

Med/Surg Telemetry unit with night shift schedule (7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts)

Patient ratio of 1:5–6

Epic EMR — experience required
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required within the hospital or to a sister campus depending on assignment

No on-call required
-
Active NC or compact RN license required — pending license not accepted

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance

Must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

SSN and DOB required for consideration

13-week contract (nights)

Royal blue and white scrubs required

RTO is capped at 4 days per contract, with approval of no more than 1 holiday

Travelers may extend up to twice on night shift; after reaching the extension limit, a 6-month gap is required before reapplying

Previous employees must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
