American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 46-bed surgical unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ACLS certification.

Work on a 46-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit (4N) in a hospital setting
-
Primary patient population includes trauma surgery, post-bariatric surgery, post-abdominal surgery, post-amputation surgery, and urological cases, with overflow medical and cardiac patients as well
-
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6, with the possibility of ratios reaching 1:7 during call-ins

PCT support is in the process of being added to the unit

Schedule is days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
-
Every other weekend required
-
Every other holiday required
-
No on-call requirements

Charting is done in Cerner
-
Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Provide nursing care to a diverse surgical patient population including trauma, bariatric, abdominal, amputation, and urological cases, as well as overflow medical and cardiac patients

The unit is actively onboarding new travelers weekly to help manage workload during call-ins
