Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 26-week Med/Surg Tele contract requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg unit with telemetry capability; primary patient population is Med/Surg
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
• Floating required across all health system facilities as needed
• Charge RN shifts required as needed
• EMR: Epic (required)
• Procedures and skills include blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, IV starts, heparin, insulin, PCA management, nasal cannula, isolation precautions, and use of Rapid Response teams
• 26-week contract commitment required

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding regardless of specialty; two attempts are allowed
• No study materials will be provided by the facility — candidates should prepare for the EKG exam in advance
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Holiday coverage rotation is required
