American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Wound/Ostomy Care position requiring proficiency in pressure injury assessment and management in an acute/critical care setting.

Day shift schedule: 5x7.5-hour shifts, 7:00–15:00

Work in a dedicated Wound Care unit within a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes ICU patients with complex conditions such as open heart surgery, heart and lung transplant cases
-
Primary focus is on pressure injury prevention, reduction, assessment, staging, and treatment
-
Involves interfacing with patients' primary nurses and/or educators to validate staging, assessments, documentation, and treatments
-
Responsible for maintaining an Excel spreadsheet to track key metrics for each patient with a pressure injury (e.g., staging, hospital-acquired vs. present on admission)

Charts using Epic EMR

Shift end times may flex based on documentation needs, admits/discharges, and staffing requirements

Active NJ or Compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required

WCN or WOCN certification highly preferred but not required

Proficiency in pressure injury assessment, management, and treatment required

Experience in acute care and/or critical care settings required

Proficiency with Epic EMR

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Two current professional references required

Copies of certifications required for consideration

Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
