American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU travel assignment in Wellington, FL, requiring a minimum of 2-3 years of Level 3-4 NICU experience and the ability to manage vents, oscillators, pressors, and micro-preemies.

Level 3-4 NICU in a hospital setting
-
Patient population ranges from 23 weeks gestation to 4 months of age, primarily admitted from labor and delivery
-
Conditions treated include extreme prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome

Services provided include noninvasive nasal CPAP, mechanical ventilation, High Frequency Oscillation (HFO), and nitric oxide inhalation therapy

Nurses respond to neonatal emergencies and attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries
-
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)

8-week contract

Active FL RN license or compact RN license (no pending licenses accepted)

Current BLS certification (AHA only)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required

STABLE certification required

Minimum 2-3 years of NICU experience in a US hospital required

Level 3 or Level 4 NICU experience required

Proficiency with ventilators, oscillators, and pressors required

Experience with micro-preemie care required

Valid US Social Security Number required

Date of birth required for consideration

Nurses assist with bedside procedures including peripheral IV insertion, septic workups, intubations, percutaneous catheter insertions, parenteral therapy, blood product administration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring

Parent teaching is a component of nursing responsibilities

Most diagnostic services are provided at the bedside

Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the previous 12 months are preferred; at least one reference should be from the most recent employer

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
