American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel position requiring at least 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience and a TN or compact RN license, with night shifts in a hospital setting.

Neuro ICU unit within a hospital setting

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Weekend availability required as needed

On-call required as needed

Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Active RN license — TN state license or compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience required (travel RNs); minimum 3 years of recent Neuro ICU experience required for those without prior travel experience

At least 1 completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent Neuro ICU experience

ADN or higher required for this position

Current BLS certification required

Driver's License required for consideration

Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall within the assignment period; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO will not be approved after the initial submission

Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
