Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring both scrub and circulate capabilities, with night shift availability and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
• Night shift schedule: 6p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Surgical patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Ability to scrub and circulate required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs comprehensive pre- and post-operative patient assessments
• Provides individualized perioperative patient care based on procedure type and anesthesia across the continuum of care
• Conducts patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and instructions, including Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) support
• Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
