Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Naples, FL, with a strong surgical background including Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, and Cerner EMR experience required.

• Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
• Surgical specialties include Orthopedics, Neurology, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, and Urology
• Day shift: 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Floating between campuses required as needed

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience with strength in Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, and/or Urology
• Cerner EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ensuring supply readiness, maintaining case timeliness, communicating with patient families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgical cases, and supervising personnel delivering patient care
• Works collaboratively with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical Techs, and other OR personnel
• Practice guided by State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies and procedures
• All certifications must remain active and not expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Requested time off (RTO) must be less than one week in duration
