American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL, requiring strong multi-specialty OR experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Work in a 15-bed OR suite (2 dedicated CVOR beds) within a 492-bed Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with a Level III NICU
-
Specialties covered include Trauma (no burns), Neuro, General, Vascular (including Endovascular), ENT, Ortho/Spine, Total Joints, Gyn, Urology, Robotics (General and Neuro), Plastics, Breast, and Eyes

Patient population includes minimal pediatric cases, typically Orthopedic
-
1:1 patient ratio
-
Circulator role only — no scrubbing required

Robotics experience preferred, specifically Robotic Mazor and DaVinci XI
-
CVOR cases possible; candidates may be asked to cover CVOR if needed
-
Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors used

Cerner EMR
-
12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week; shift start time 6:30 PM

Position covers all specialties Friday through Sunday

On-call schedule includes 1 weekday per week and one weekend per month (Friday 3 PM–7 AM, Saturday 24 hours, Sunday 24 hours) with a 30-minute response time required

No floating required

Active AL RN license or Compact RN license required (may submit pending with ETA)

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of OR experience required; 1-year experience not accepted

Strong multi-specialty OR circulator experience required across the case types listed

Total joint experience required
-
Vascular (including endovascular) experience required
-
One supervisor-level reference (charge or above) from within the past 12 months required for consideration

Date of birth (day and month) required for consideration

Copy of certifications required for consideration

Full SSN required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility

Responsibilities include circulating across all covered OR specialties including trauma, neuro, ortho, vascular, and robotics cases

Unit support includes an OR assistant (ORA), desk assistant, charge nurse, and team leaders for each service line
-
Orientation is 2 weeks on day shift; buddy call is expected during the orientation period
-
Schedule is determined by department needs

One holiday per contract is expected to be worked
-
Time off requests must be approved by the manager

Green scrubs are required and provided by the facility
-
Parking is available in a facility parking deck
-
