Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Circulator for an OR Orthopedic Specialty position in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent OR circulator experience and proficiency in orthopedic surgical procedures.

Details

• High-volume hospital OR setting specializing in orthopedic surgery
• Orthopedic cases include routine and complex procedures such as total knees, total hips, and total shoulders, as well as complex fractures
• Unit operates 5–7 OR suites depending on daily volume, with up to 4 concurrent robotic procedures using Mako robots
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM), based on department needs
• Call coverage required for the main OR after normal business hours and on weekends
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license valid in Texas
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 3 years of recent, full-time experience as an OR RN Circulator in a high-volume hospital setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic surgical procedures
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with minimal ramp-up time
• Verifiable professional references from relevant OR experience required
• Valid U.S. driver's license required
• Must provide a U.S. Social Security Number and a valid U.S. home address
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Circulate in orthopedic OR cases including robotic-assisted procedures utilizing the Mako robot system
• Candidates requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered — must be able to hit the ground running
• Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a different pay rate
• Two professional references required
• Copies of certifications, license verification/Nursys, and a copy of your driver's license are required for consideration
