Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, pediatric experience, and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital OR setting serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• Block schedule: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
• No on-call required
• EMR: Epic
• Floating required — travelers are first to float, including potential float to sister campuses (all within 15–20 minutes)

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Pediatric (PEDS) OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Nursing degree from an accredited program required, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (full-time housing in the area required for the duration of the contract)
• Full demographic information required for consideration: current address, email, full date of birth, SSN, and RN license number

Additional Information

• Travelers are welcomed into the unit and are expected to function as core staff
• Orientation begins on a Friday; includes remote orientation components, but candidates must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID processing
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be approved afterward
• No block scheduling requests will be accommodated beyond the standard assigned block schedule
• Candidates must be flexible and willing to float to sister campuses as needed
• Holiday coverage expectations apply consistent with core staff standards
