American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring a minimum of 18 months of CVOR experience and strong endovascular skills at a high-acuity hospital setting in Atlanta, GA.

Work in the Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) unit of a large academic hospital in Atlanta, GA
-
Cardiovascular and vascular surgical patient population, including cardiac, endovascular, and complex vascular cases

Strong experience across cardiac and vascular procedures is expected, with proficiency in both routine and complex case types
-
Floating to the General OR is required as needed

AM shift, 12-hour days
-
13-week assignment
-
On-call is required — approximately 48–60 hours per 4-week period, including weekend call

On-call rooms are available for use during call shifts

Active RN license — Georgia or Compact license currently in hand is required

Minimum 18 months of full-time CVOR experience within the last 3 years at a similar acuity level

Strong endovascular (wires) experience required

Proficiency across cardiac and vascular procedures required (self-rated 3s and 4s across cardiac and vascular procedures)

Georgia state law requires education verification or national certification

Experience with neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and/or robotics is preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Former permanent staff from Emory or Houston facilities must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning; if returning to the same facility, a minimum 18-month separation is required

RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not on or near a holiday, and a maximum of 3 days if RTO falls on or near a holiday

Only one holiday RTO request is permitted per assignment, and consecutive RTO days around the holidays are unlikely to be approved

Virtual interviews are conducted with the Nurse Manager
