Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR/CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience and proficiency with Cerner EMR.

Details

• Works in a cardiovascular/open heart operating room setting
• Typical cases include cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABG), valve replacement, carotid endarterectomy, and aortic abdominal aneurysm (AAA) repair
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with on-call responsibilities
• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience in a U.S. hospital required; candidates with at least 1 year of OR experience with both scrubbing and circulating may also be considered
• Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
