Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for a CVOR position in Northern Nevada, requiring NBSTSA certification and a minimum of 2 years of CVOR scrub experience.

Details

• CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) setting within a hospital environment
• 4 ten-hour day shifts per week (Monday–Friday), with shift times of 0630–1700
• 40 hours per week
• On-call required: 11 shifts per month, covering nights and weekends

Requirements

• Active NV RN license with no pending status
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• NBSTSA certification required
• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR surgical technologist, including first and second scrub roles
• Prior travel experience required
• At least 2 years of experience in the specialty in a U.S. hospital setting
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months (at least one from most recent employer)
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation based on knowledge of surgical procedures
• Anticipates instrument needs in the surgical field and assists the surgical team throughout all procedures
• Responsible for case clean-up, patient positioning, patient transport, and room turnovers
• Conducts counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps in accordance with department standards
• Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy throughout all interactions
• CPI certification is mandated for this position; training may be available at the facility — confirm with your recruiter
