American Traveler is seeking an experienced RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) for a 13-week OR travel assignment at an acute care hospital in California, requiring active CA RN licensure and CRNFA certification.

Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts per week

No on-call or call-back requirements

Cerner EMR used in this position

Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact) required — no pending licenses accepted

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) — all must be active; no pending certifications accepted

Driver's license required for consideration

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

13-week OR first assist assignment at an acute care facility in the Sacramento, California region

Candidates must pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam before an offer can be confirmed

A pass/fail sterile technique test (Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes) is administered on the first day of orientation

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
