Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OR Neuro Team position requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience, neuro experience, and an active Illinois RN license.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting, assigned to the Neuro Team
• 10-hour day shifts, 4x10 schedule (7:00AM–5:00PM), with Thursdays off
• On-call requirement of one weekday call per week and one weekend call per month
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience
• Neuro OR experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include preparing the OR suite with necessary supplies, equipment, and medications; patient transport and positioning; performing timeouts; supporting the surgical team throughout the procedure; and providing handoff to the receiving RN upon transfer to PACU
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 continuous year must either convert to permanent employment or take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the health system
