American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring at least 2 years of Peds ICU experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Position is based in a pediatric critical care float pool setting within a children's hospital
-
RN will float to all pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU based on facility needs
-
Patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:3 depending on unit assignment
-
Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 36 hours/week

Every other weekend required with holiday rotation

Epic EMR is used at this facility

Active SC RN license or multi-state/compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered

Current AHA-issued BLS and PALS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
-
ECMO and CRRT experience preferred

First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they meet the required experience

Candidates who were previously permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on unit needs
-
Block scheduling may be requested but is subject to manager and unit approval
-
Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date

All staff and contractors are assigned to emergency response teams and may be called upon during declared emergencies, including hurricanes (peak season: August–September)
