Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring at least 2 years of Peds ICU experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is based in a pediatric critical care float pool setting within a children's hospital
• RN will float to all pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU based on facility needs
• Patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:3 depending on unit assignment
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 36 hours/week
• Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
• Epic EMR is used at this facility

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or multi-state/compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
• Current AHA-issued BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they meet the required experience
• Candidates who were previously permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on unit needs
• Block scheduling may be requested but is subject to manager and unit approval
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
• All staff and contractors are assigned to emergency response teams and may be called upon during declared emergencies, including hurricanes (peak season: August–September)
