Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Geriatric Psychiatric (Gero Psych) Unit position in Moberly, MO, requiring at least 1 year of Gero Psych experience and a Missouri or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Geriatric Psychiatric (Gero Psych) unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 21-bed inpatient psychiatric unit serving adult psychiatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:8
• Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• 13-week travel contract
• EMR: MedHost

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Gero Psych unit required
• Current BLS certification required (no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Valid U.S. driver's license required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include behavioral health evaluation, planning and implementing patient care, administering medications, assisting physicians during examinations, and teaching patients and families about their conditions and self-care
• Delegates patient care priorities and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• RTO requests must be for less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
