Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Psychiatric for a night shift position at an inpatient behavioral health facility in Fort Worth, TX, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of psych experience.

Details

• Inpatient behavioral health unit with 72 beds
• Patient population includes adults and adolescents presenting with psychosis, mood disorders, voluntary and involuntary legal status, detox, and behavioral health conditions, including military veterans and first responders
• Patient ratio of 1:12
• Equipment includes Code Cart, Pyxis, EKG, Vitals Machine, and Glucometer
• EMR: Cerner
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend hours available (12–24 hours per week)
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license — TX or compact license required
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• CPI or HWC certification required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Must not be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• Administer medications with diligence and accuracy as a core daily responsibility
• De-escalation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are strongly valued
• Supervised by a Shift House Supervisor and CNO
• Royal blue or navy blue scrubs required; closed-toe shoes mandatory
• All AHA certifications must be current and valid
