Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehab position in an 8-bed unit within an acute-care hospital, requiring the ability to work independently as the sole RN on duty.

Details

• Small 8-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit situated inside an acute-care hospital
• Patient population includes acute rehabilitation, stroke, neurological diagnoses, and some trauma cases
• Patients receive three hours of PT/OT/SLP therapy per day
• Patient ratio of 1:8
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Charting system: Meditech
• Floating may be required to a Skilled Nursing Unit or similar medical/surgical unit

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, neuro, or stroke nursing
• Must be comfortable working independently as the sole RN on the unit
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• RN works independently as the only nurse assigned to the unit, though other nurses are accessible within the building
• CNA support is available during the assignment
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
