Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation night shift position in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Inpatient Rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• High neurological patient population, including stroke patients
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend required, specifically Friday and Saturday nights
• Sundays are considered part of the regular work week with some scheduling flexibility available
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Stroke certification is a plus but not required

Additional Information

• Unit functions similarly to a medical floor, with the exception that Heparin drips are not administered
• Responsibilities include assessing patients' physical, mental, and spiritual needs and developing individualized plans of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• RNs are expected to recognize and report changes in patient condition using clinical judgment
• Role includes patient and family education, accurate medical record documentation, and participation in continuing education
• Part of a nationally recognized non-profit health system with acclaim in stroke, cardiac, cancer, and rehabilitation services
