Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg Telemetry position on a 28-bed Renal Med Surg unit, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

• 28-bed Renal Med Surg Telemetry unit (3 North) in a hospital setting
• Day shift: 06:45–19:15
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. home address required
• Driver's license required
• Two professional references required
• Nursys license verification required prior to start

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care including implementing and monitoring patient care plans, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning
• Functions as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Navy/maroon scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within the facility's radius may be eligible at a different pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required
