Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Cardiology Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of strong cardiac background and an active MA RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 24-bed Medical Cardiology unit (Pingree 4) at a hospital setting
  • Cardiology patient population including post-cath care (PCI, ICD, PPM, Ablation, TR Band, Femoral approach)
  • Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights
  • Rotating day/evening/night shifts required
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract
  • Epic used for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
  • Current AHA BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this facility)
  • Current AHA ACLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this facility)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience with a strong cardiac background
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Ability to perform and manage cardiac drips
  • Post-cath care experience including PCI, ICD, PPM, Ablation, TR Band, and Femoral approach
  • 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
  • Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
  • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but will receive a reduced rate
  • Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront
