Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at a hospital in Tyler, TX, with cardiac care experience and a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work on a 36-bed private room Telemetry unit (5 North) in a hospital setting
• Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatric patients
• Priority admissions include post-cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, pacemaker implant, and hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
