Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit position at an acute care hospital in Alton, IL, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit in a 158-bed acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Every other weekend required
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting is done in Epic; Epic experience is required
• Free parking is available on-site
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be accepted — please note this on your application
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Navy scrubs are required
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Holidays may require coverage as part of normal scheduling expectations
