Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool IMC/Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of IMC experience and current Epic proficiency.

Details

• Float Pool position covering Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes those with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe CHF, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating between Med/Surg and IMC units is required
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2 years of IMC experience in a hospital setting
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Flu shot required (no exceptions)
• 2-step PPD required (no exceptions)

Additional Information

• Provides intermediate care nursing to a complex, acutely ill patient population across Med/Surg and IMC units
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a reduced pay rate
