Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Stepdown Unit at a Level III Trauma hospital in Paris, TX, requiring at least 2 years of stepdown or progressive care experience and active TX or compact RN licensure.

• Progressive Care Stepdown/Transitional Unit at a 154-bed Level III Trauma hospital
• Hospital is Joint Commission Accredited and holds designations as an Advanced Primary Stroke Care Center and a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI
• Serves patients of all ages across a mixed PCU/Med-Surg setting
• Day shift, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, HWC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — all must be obtained prior to start (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit experience required
• Med-Surg experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Orientation takes place on Mondays
• Professional demeanor expected; scrub color to be determined
• Casual wear and non-facility-related attire are not permitted
• Paris, TX is located approximately 110 miles northeast of Dallas near the Texas-Oklahoma border, offering a low cost of living and a close-knit community atmosphere
