Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a TN or Compact RN license, with night shifts and rotating weekends.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in an acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
  • Rotating weekends required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating to Medical-Surgical unit required; candidates must be comfortable with 1:7 MS ratios when floated
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current AHA BLS certification required; AHA ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
  • Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
  • Travel RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care duties
  • All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
