Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with cardiac telemetry experience and Epic EMR proficiency required.

Details

• 13-week travel contract in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes cardiac diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), rule-out Myocardial Infarction (MI), Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), and Arrhythmias
• Secondary focus on respiratory patients including COPD and Pneumonia
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a facility EKG competency exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed) during the compliance process
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate is expected to prepare independently for the EKG exam — study materials will not be provided by the facility
• Facility maintains a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
