American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Stepdown position requiring a minimum of 24 months of cardiac experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
-
24-bed Telemetry/Stepdown unit in a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes CABG, ICD, pacemaker, cardiac drips, and vascular surgical cases
-
Patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:6 on nights
-
Continuous telemetry tech unit monitoring is in place
-
Common drips include Nitro, Cardene, Heparin, Diltiazem, and Dopamine
-
Epic EMR is used; experience is required
-
Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and wound vacs
-
Floating required across multiple campuses, including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
-
Active IA RN license or compact RN license required
-
Active BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required at time of consideration
-
Minimum 24 months of Telemetry/Cardiac RN experience required
-
Experience with CABG, ICD, pacemaker, cardiac drips, and vascular surgical patient populations required
-
Cardiac rhythm interpretation experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required

Alaris IV pump and wound vac experience required

Drip/titration experience required
-
Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months
-
One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required

Driver's license required for consideration

Scrub color requirement: Navy blue solids

Candidates who were employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local traveler rate adjustment
